Mayor Bragg declared a quorum present and called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was said and Alderman Robinson gave the invocation.
Consent Agenda:
City Clerk requested to amend the agenda adding item “Deputy Clerk, Devon Bell, to the La Plata State Bank accounts” under Department Reports b. City Clerk.
Alderman Robinson made a motion and seconded by Alderwoman Walker to approve adding item “Deputy Clerk Devon Bell “to the agenda. This motion carried ayes-Robinson, Jones, Walker, Absent Perry.
Alderman Jones made a motion and seconded by Alderman Robinson to approve the consent agenda. The motion carried ayes- Robinson, Jones, Walker, Absent Perry

City Clerk Comments:
Deputy Clerk, Devon Bell, to be added to La Plata State Bank accounts.

Electric Department Comments:
Electric Supervisor Cory Cook is working with the Electric Engineer to determine the design to move the electric line to accommodate the new bridge that will be installed over the railroad at Brown Street this summer.
Electric Supervisor Cory Cook received the new utility truck for the electric department.
Golf Course Comments:
Mayor Bragg informed the Board of Aldermen, Golf Course Supervisor Eric Ensign was handling the hiring of all seasonal employees at the golf course commenting that he had hired Steve Lightle as Clubhouse Manager.
Mayor Bragg also informed the Board of Aldermen a safe will be installed at the Golf Course Clubhouse.
Street Department Comments:
Street Supervisor Kiley Harpster received the new utility truck for the street department.
Water Department Comments:
Water Supervisor Mike Binder received the new utility truck for the water/sewer department.
Police Department Comments:
Police Chief Bunch informed the Mayor and Board of Alderman the 2014 Ford Explorer is in Memphis at Biggs getting a new transmission installed.
Police Chief Bunch informed the Mayor and Board of Alderman that ADT Security System will be installing a security system at City Hall and Golf Course Clubhouse.
Alderman Perry entered the meeting at 6:15 p.m.
Police Chief Bunch told the Mayor and Board of Aldermen the Police Department Building was in need of immediate repair.
Mayor and Board of Committee Reports comments:
Mayor Bragg requested the Board of Aldermen appoint Angie Roberts to fill the vacant spot on the Park and Recreation Board.
Alderman Robinson made a motion and seconded by Alderwoman Walker to appoint Angie Roberts to the Park and Recreation Board. The motion carried ayes – Walker, Perry, Robinson, Jones.
Farmers Market
Alderwoman Susan Walker told the Mayor and Board of Aldermen the farmers market is scheduled to start May 2020.
Old Business:
Property Clean Up
Police Chief Jason Bunch informed the Board of Aldermen the police department would begin the spring cleanup program again this year.
New Business
Mayor Bragg attended the Park and Recreation Board meeting on Monday March 9th and reported to the Board of Alderman that the Santa Fee Lake is advertising for summer help. Family Passes were discussed.
With no further business the Mayor adjourned the meeting at 6:30 pm. The next regular scheduled meeting will be April 14th , 2020.
